Best Ways to Celebrate the Holidays in Denver

Denver is certainly among the best places to celebrate the Holidays – the Mile-High City is great anytime of the year, but for Independence Day it puts on its most festive, patriotic clothes and it offers the most exciting opportunities for entertainment and celebration to interested visitors, with the exception this year. Here are a few things that you can plan on for next year:

  • Concerts, fireworks and lightshows – the city has fireworks on Independence Day’s Eve as well as in the evening of the Holidays and during both days there will be concerts all around the city’s parks and squares;
  • Picnicking – you can gather your friends and family, pack a large picnic basket with all the good things you can find to eat and drink or you can join the Broomfield Great American Picnic in the afternoon, enjoy the children’s carnival and the concerts and the fireworks after dark;
  • Visit the Englewood Festival – Englewood’s Cornerstone Park offers lots of activities for the kids, including face painting, trampolines and bounce castles, concerts for the adults. You and your family can also check out the miniature train and the petting farm is also a great favorite with the young ones.

This year however was not as festive as most, due to a state ban on all fireworks, you still had the chance to celebrate your freedoms..  With the different paint and sip Denver locations around and other venues every holiday can still be celebrated.
